CELEBRATES THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING AT THE ANTIQUES FAIR AT NELSON MANDELA SQUARE THIS SUNDAY 1st SEPTEMBER 2013

Spring – the time of new awakenings and renewed energy will be celebrated at the Antiques Fair which takes place on the Upper and Lower Levels of Nelson Mandela Square on Sunday 1st September 2013.

With the added convenience of being able to take the Gautrain from Pretoria and from the CBD through Rosebank, thousands of shoppers, celebrating the start of Spring, will spend the day (from 09h00 to 16h00) browsing and chatting to the antique dealers who come from all over the country - looking for that special piece to add to a collection or simply enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of Nelson Mandela Square, Johannesburg’s most prestigious leisure mall.

Antiques and collectables are enjoying renewed popularity with more and more people discovering the joys of collecting and investing in beautiful things. Whether you’re an avid collector or a novice simply interested in things old and beautiful, you will find everything you need at Johannesburg’s most prestigious Fair. Why not look at adding something really beautiful to your home’s decor – like a stunning vase, a new tea set or some silver candlesticks. For those wanting to start a hobby, why not consider collecting silver miniatures or searching for that really special first edition book.

The Antiques Fair boasts over 60 dealers dealing in everything from furniture, porcelain, silver and glass as well as a large selection of collectables - from books to prints to jewellery and odds and ends. A classical quartet adds a musical touch from 11h00 to 13h00

The September Fair will be held on Sunday 1st September from 09h00 to 16h00 on the Upper and Lower levels of Nelson Mandela Square.
